Baseball Bat Used In Street Fight

At 8:05 P.M. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call of numerous people fighting in the street in the area of Trinity Ave. and Nadia Dr. in Dartmouth and that one person may have been assaulted with a baseball bat. 

At 8:05 P.M. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call of numerous people fighting in the street in the area of Trinity Ave. and Nadia Dr. in Dartmouth and that one person may have been assaulted with a baseball bat. 

As officers arrived a number of people involved were still in the area and a 35 year old male was located who had been assaulted. He was transported to the Dartmouth General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 34 year old male was arrested and a baseball bat was also seized. The suspect is currently in police custody and will attend Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning to face charges of possession of a weapon and assault with a weapon. This was not a random incident as the victim and suspect were known to each other.
