Basinview Drive School tackles speeding on June 3

Basinview Drive Community School is joining over 20 communities and schools to become the next Pace Car Community in Nova Scotia on June 3.

Residents pledge to become “mobile speed bumps” and display the decals on their vehicles, helping to slow traffic in their community.

The program launch celebrations are part of the school’s Spring Fling.

What: Pace Car anti-speeding program launch

When: Friday, June 3, 2011

Time: 5:30 p.m.

Location: Basinview Drive Community School, 273 Basinview Drive

Pace Car is a partnership of Active & Safe Routes to School of the Ecology Action Centre and the NS Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal. For more information, visit www.pacecar.ca.
