B&E at Downtown NSLC

Two suspects are in custody following a break and enter in Halifax this morning.  

At 4:22 a.m., police responded to a commercial intrusion alarm at the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission located at 1940 Barrington Street in Halifax. When police arrived onscene, obvious attempts to gain entry into the business were noted.

A short distance away, police noted a man whom matched the description of a suspect. He was with another man in a vehicle. Upon seeing police, the vehicle fled the area, but was later stopped nearby.

During the stop, officers were able to note and seize a quantity of drugs, cash as well as a loaded firearm.

26 year old Jared Taylor and 25 year old Colton Grantmyre both of Halifax have been charged with several firearms offences relating to the firearm that was recovered as well as trafficking drugs.

26 year old Jared Taylor will appear in Halifax court on February 9th, 2021.

25 year old Colton Grantmyre will appear in Halifax court on December 30th, 2020.
