On July 4th, 2020 at 7:00pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a physical disturbance in the 30-40 block of Joseph Young St in Dartmouth. Upon arrival a group of approximate 20 people began to disburse. During the disturbance a 34 year old woman was sprayed with bear spray. A 27 year old woman was arrested at the scene and will face charges of assault with a weapon and possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose. This woman will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on October 27, 2020 at 930am. Both women were known to one another and the 34 year old woman was treated by EHS at the scene and released.
