{beauty} L’occitane Peony Perfecting Toner

If you’re prone to breakouts there’s one product you should never skip, and that’s toner. While they are  not all created equal and there are some ingredients you should stay away from it really could be the missing link in your routine.

For a tremendously long time I refused to use toners. I’d honestly given up. Every one I tried instantly dried my skin, and did nothing for my pimples. That was until I’d gone for a facial at one of my local spas, and the esthetician asked if I used toner. You can imagine her shock when I said “no”. I kind of felt like I was at the dentist and he/she asked if I’d been flossing, or a teacher asking if I’d done my homework.
I was definitely NOT doing my homework.
And it was to my detriment. I still get breakouts (stupid hormones),  but not nearly as bad, and not nearly as many. If you’re the type with a lot of small breakouts it’s probably from bacteria (I know so gross) which is why adding toner into your skincare routine is so so important.
All that to say that I REALLY love the Peony Perfecting Toner from L’Occitane. I mean L’Occitane make some pretty amazing products, so I’m not surprised, but there’s something about this composition that’s perfect for my combo skin.
Containing a natural extract of Peony from the Drôme, this alcohol free product completes the cleansing process, moisturizes and refreshes the skin. Enriched with a skin-perfecting peony extract, it softens, smoothes and tones the skin texture. And I honestly love the results. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a great balanced toner, and you need so little that it’ll last you a lot longer than you would think.  I should also mention that this post is in no way sponsored I just really struggle with finding great toners, so I felt like I needed to share with you dearest blog reader.
