Dress up and join us at the Bedford Public Library for a Halloween Party featuring puppets, stories and more. It’s sure to be a ghostly good time! Free tickets will be given out 15 minutes before the program (All ages).

Bedford Days Kick-off Celebration!

Bedford Days festivities kick-off with a torch run by the Canada Games Mascots and a ribbon cutting. Join us for a new pyrotechnic stage show, children’s entertainment and live music by Telfer. Feed Nova Scotia will be onsite accepting donations.
Bedford Days Minor Baseball Tournaments

The annual Bedford Days tournament will once again be held for the Mosquito, Pee-Wee, Bantam AAA divisions, as well as the Midget AA. All games will be played at Joan and Robert Lenihan (Range Park) in Bedford. This will mark the 29th year for the tournament, and is one of the oldest minor baseball tournaments held in Bedford. Come watch some exciting baseball being played by stars in the making.

“Kids of Steel” Triathlon

Triathlon Nova Scotia sponsors Kids of Steel Triathlon for children ages 4-15 years old. The event is a fun race (non-competitive) to introduce children to the sport of triathlon. The event is made up of three parts: first a swim in the pool, then a bike ride and then a run. The distances for each portion of the event are set to the ages of the participants (the older the participant, the longer the distances). Bedford Days Community Georgian Tea

A Georgian Tea will be held at the historic Scott Manor House. Town crier, Stewart MacMillan, will make the proclamation with performances by the Clan Farquharson Pipe and Drum Band. The Harmony Barbershop Quartet will perform and exhibits by youth artists will be on display.

Teddy Bears deserve their own fun too. Bring your favourite stuffed buddy to a picnic in their honour. Bearametic will be there to make sure your bears are fit and healthy. There will also be children’s entertainment, face painting, and more for you and your teddy bear to enjoy! Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids will be at DeWolf Park making sure you look your best for Canada Day. Hot dogs will be served until quantities last.

Lost Kids Tent
There will be a Lost Kids tent at Bedford Days for parents looking for missing children. The tent will be near the stage, marked with a flashing amber light. A Bedford Days committee member will be inside to tent to assist parents and children.
