Tuesday, June 30, 2015 (Halifax, NS) –The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the Bedford Outdoor Pool on Shore Drive will remain closed until July 15 for repairs to a leaky waterline.
The pool was closed last evening after staff discovered that an underground pipe is leaking water. Limited space prevents the use of heavy equipment, which means much of the excavation and repair work will need to be done by hand.
The repairs are expected to take about two weeks. Residents will be notified through a Public Service Announcement if the pool can be reopened sooner. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this work may cause but it is required for the safe operation of the pool.
