May 14th was the scene of the Bedford Players Volunteer Awards Night, an evening to celebrate the many volunteers who work so diligently to entertain metro with Bedford Players Productions.

Approximately seventy guests arrived for the gala event, which was hosted much like the Academy Awards, with awards presentations and acknowledgements for actors, production crew and creative teams.

Two short plays also entertained the audience: “The Tea Party”, written and directed by Karen Waterfield for the Liver Association Fund Raiser in Bedford and also “The Bouquet”, written and directed by Janet Godsell for the Liverpool International Festival.
