Behind The Scenes Envy Dress Shoot

Kayla Short, Short Presents, Style Blogger

Recently I had the absolute pleasure of working on Envy‘s Special Occasion Dress Shoot. We styled looks for an array of events with everything from bride, to bridesmaid, and from graduation to grad formal. And while I can’t share evvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvverything here’s a sneak peak at the behind the scenes from our shoot upstairs at The Old Apothecary.

While winter whittles away us fashion folk are springing forward towards bright and colorful clothing again. Spring fashion might be one of my favorites although I feel like I say that about Fall too, but there’s definitely something about all the florals and pastels that are just so refreshing after a long cold dreary winter.
When I was approached about styling the shoot for local clothing store Envy I was over the moon, they do such a great job with their buying I literally love everything in store. For this shoot we wanted to focus on special occasion dresses, and let me tell you they have a lot! From dresses that could easily be considered bridal to formal floor length gowns to short little cocktail dresses we covered the full gamut of frocks

Shot upstairs at the Old Apothecary no less, the colorful furniture, and eclectic art proved to be the perfect back drop for this energy filled shoot. So with four beauties, and stellar photography duo (NXNPhotography), lovely makeup artist Kristen Scott we had each girl in two looks, and can I just tell you they did such a great job? I’m so happy with how it all turned out, and I can’t wait to share the images with you when they are ready!

Stay tuned!
