Clinically proven and best known for improving the appearance of scars and stretch marks, it is recommend to use Bio-Oil for 3 months (gently massaging the area upon application) before you see the results.  From preventing peeling after a sun burn to taming fly aways Bio-Oil, has some really great immediate benefits as well.

Bio-Oil can be used for makeup removal, cuticle conditioner, soothing skin after shaving,  as well as a face and body moisturizer as well reducing the appearance of scars and stretch marks over time making it a really great product to have on hand.

Curious about other uses for Bio-Oil? Here’s 40! Not even kidding check it out > 40 Uses of Bio-Oil.
If you’re an avid reader of Short Presents you know I just recently had my year end dance recital at the Rebecca Cohn where I performed 4 different pieces (Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop) that my classes had been working on for the past 10 weeks. Now that dance is over (for a little while) this also means I can finally start to break down some the calluses I’ve been building up dancing. See when you’re a dancer a pedicure can actually be your worst nightmare I mean it looks great, but it just makes dance that much more painful, so it’s really not worth it.
While doing some research online about the best ways to get your feet smooth again I stumbled upon a suggestion to rub your feet with Bio-Oil, and then wear socks to bed, or while you read or watch tv. Seemed pretty low key so I figured I’d give it a go. One thing I would suggest is to be careful when getting the shower the next morning because it might be slightly more slippery after applying the Bio-Oil the night before.

Clearly it hasn’t been 3 months for me yet, but I have noticed improvements in the softness of my feet after just a few uses. I am also using the product on a scar I got from my curling wand while curling my hair in Mexico last spring (note to self don’t curl your hair in a bikini), so I’ll be sure to keep you posted on that one.

Since I’ve been using the product on my feet I figured I might as well use it for my legs too because I  have A LOT of scars from mosquito bites (which I’m allergic to) from my summer camp days as a kid. I’m happy to say I do love the scent and how moisturizing Bio-Oil is on my legs after shaving, and I like the added bonus of knowing that it’s doing a little something extra for all the little marks around my ankles. Win/win right?

I also think this product would be great for travel (of course my mind automatically goes to travel lol) because you could really cut down on bringing a TON of other products because you can do so much simply with the Bio-Oil. I mean who doesn’t want a multi purpose product when they travel?
