Birch Cove Beach Closed for Water Testing

Release:

(Tuesday, July 12, 2011) – HRM would like to advise residents that Birch Cove Beach on Lake Banook in Dartmouth has been temporarily closed for water testing. Lifeguard staff and some program participants have reported flu-like symptoms and HRM has closed the beach as a safety precaution.
HRM is currently performing water quality testing and should have the results within the next couple of days.
Residents will be notified when the beach reopens.
