Nova Scotia RCMP’s Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit has arrested a Birchy Head man for child pornography offences.

On May 4, the RCMP’s ICE Unit along with members of the Halifax Integrated Internet Child Exploitation unit and the RCMP Technological Crime Unit searched a home in Birchy Head.

Investigators were directed to the residence after a social media application notified law enforcement that child pornography was being shared on their service.

As a result of the investigation, the man has been charged with:

· Making Child Pornography

· Possession of Child Pornography

The suspect was arrested without incident and remanded. He is appearing in Lunenburg Provincial Court today.
