Wednesday, July 24, 2013 (Halifax, NS) – HRM citizens are advised that Black Rock and Dingle beaches are closed to swimming as a precautionary measure due to overflows of screened wastewater.

Wastewater overflows can lead to temporarily high bacteria levels throughout Halifax Harbour, therefore swimming in other areas of Halifax Harbour is also not recommended for the duration of the beach closure period.

HRM citizens will be advised when the beaches reopen.
