Thursday, July 28, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Black Rock Beach in Point Pleasant Park has re-opened to swimming.
Beach supervisors test the water quality weekly at all supervised municipal beaches during the summer months. Black Rock Beach was closed on Monday as a precaution due to a sewage outflow into Halifax Harbour on Saturday night that lasted more than an hour. Test results from Monday indicate the water quality is within acceptable limits for swimming.
