Wednesday, June 20, 2012 (Halifax, NS) – HRM citizens are advised that today Blowers Street, between Grafton Street and Barrington Street, is being converted back to two-way traffic. On street directional signage will be changed this afternoon with repainting of necessary street markings planned this evening.

Blowers Street is returning to two-way directional traffic in response to feedback from local businesses about downtown traffic flow since the change was implemented in October 2011. Blowers Street was changed to one-way traffic as part of a series of downtown street network changes intended to better organize one-way street patterns, and allow for new bike lanes and on street parking spaces.

HRM motorists and pedestrians should be cautious in this area as citizens navigate this traffic direction adjustment.
