Bomb threat results in lock-down of hospital – Musquodoboit Harbour

Halifax District RCMP is investigating after a bomb threat was made towards the Twin Oaks Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour.

Prior to 2 p.m. yesterday, an unknown male telephoned the hospital and made a threat to blow up the hospital. When RCMP arrived at the hospital, staff at Twin Oaks had already initiated Bomb Threat procedures and were in lock-down procedure.

RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit, RCMP Police Dog Services and Halifax Regional Police K-9 Unit attended the location to conduct a search. After searching the hospital and the vehicles at the location, nothing suspicious was found.

This incident remains under investigation.
