Bottled Water provided to Shubenacadie Grand Lake area

Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency will provide bottled water to residents who draw water from the Shubenacadie Grand Lake area and are impacted by the Do Not Consume Water/Do Not Use Water Order.


Bottled water can be picked up at the following locations on Monday, June 14, Tuesday, June 15 and Wednesday, June 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.:

•    Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Station 42, 4132 #2 Highway, Wellington 
•    Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Station 43, 22 Lakeside Drive, Grand Lake

Residents will be provided with two litres of water per person per day, in addition to one litre per day for pets. Residents may collect up to two days’ worth of water at a time.

Additional water is available from the Station water supply if residents bring their own sanitized containers. Note: If uncertain about the cleanliness of a personal container, it is recommended to boil the water for two minutes.
