Boy escapes suspicious encounter with woman

HRP release:

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who approached a boy yesterday in Halifax.

On November 12 officers responded to a report of a woman who approached a 10-year-old boy after he got off a school bus at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Ontario Street. While walking home, the woman followed and approached the boy near the intersection of Fuller Terrace and Black Street. The woman attempted to get the boy to go with her. The boy did the right thing and ran away and reported the incident to a trusted adult.

The woman is described as a Black woman, between 40 to 50-years-old, approximately 5’3” tall, with dark curly hair. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a red winter hat, red and black pants and glasses that looked to have jewelry hanging off them. She also had a red and green coloured flower tattoo on the top of her right hand.

Man hospitalized after stabbing outside home
