Break and enter at school ends in six arrests, multiple charges

HRP release:

On May 3, at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers responded to Rockingham Elementary School located at 31 Tremont Drive in Bedford for a premises alarm call. On scene, officers located and arrested six people without incident, all of whom had unlawfully entered the school.

Five youths, aged 16 to 17-years-old are scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial youth court at a later date to face charges of:

  • Mischief over $5000.00
  • Theft under $5000.00
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00
  • Break and enter with intent to commit

An 18-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face charges of:

  • Mischief over $5000.00
  • Theft under $5000.00
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00
  • Break and enter with intent to commit
