Break and Enter Suspects Caught

 

Tuesday March 6th 2012, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRS) N.S…… Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP ) Halifax District responded to a residential break, enter and theft at Florence Place Court in Lower Sackville at 0019 hours. 
 
Two male adults ( both 18 years old) and one male young offender ( all three from Sackville) were arrested a short time later. Two HRP dog handlers and their police service dogs assisted in tracking two of the suspects. All of the stolen property was recovered from the Florence Place Court break and enter. Several members from the Halifax District Street Crime Unit assisted in the followup investigation which included executing a search warrant on the residence of one of the suspects. Several thousand dollars of stolen property was recovered, including an expensive baseball and hockey card collection.
 
The three males have been remanded and will appear in court on Wednesday March 7th, charged with a total of 111 criminal code offences. The charges are the result of at least 15 residential break and enters in the Sackville area, over a five month time span. Members of the Street Crime unit will be calling the victimized home owners, to have them view some of the seized property to confirm it was stolen from their homes. The investigation is continuing.
