Halifax Regional Police is investigating four break and enters that occurred this week in Halifax.
Three of the incidents occurred on May 10. At approximately 12:45 a.m. police responded to a break and enter at BP Corner News at 1903 Barrington Street. Two men broke into the store, stole merchandise and fled the area on foot. The first suspect is described as wearing a dark-coloured jacket, pants and sneakers. The second suspect is described as wearing a brown or beige jacket, dark-coloured pants and sneakers.
At approximately 2:55 a.m. police responded to a break and enter at Griffin’s Smoke Shop at 1120 Queen Street. A man broke into the store, stole tobacco products and fled the area. The man who broke into the store is described as white, wearing all black clothing, white and black shoes, a blue surgical mask and blue latex gloves. At the time of the incident a dark red SUV was observed leaving the area, driver described as a white man in his thirties and wearing a mask.
At approximately 3:25 a.m. police responded to a break and enter at the Superstore Smoke Shop at 1075 Barrington Street. The suspect(s) damaged the front doors but did not enter the store. No suspect description is available at this time.
On May 11 at approximately 3:25 a.m. police responded to a break and enter at Jubilee Junction convenience store at 6273 Jubilee Road. Two men broke into the store, stole merchandise and fled the area on foot. The first suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie with a white Crooks and Castles logo on the front, black pants, a face mask and a grey backpack. The second suspect is described as a white man wearing a mask, a black hoodie with white writing down both sleeves, black pants, black gloves and carrying a black garbage bag.
The investigations are ongoing, and at this time, it is not known if these incidents are connected.
