From Halifax Police:
“Halifax Regional Police are presently at the scene of a fatal collision involving a dump truck and a pedestrian.
The incident occurred on Sackville Street at Barrington, just before 10:30 a.m. The pedestrian, a female, was pronounced dead at the scene. HRP Accident Investigation officers are presently at the scene.
Sackville Street is and will remain closed between Barrington and Argyle while the investigation is ongoing.”
Our cameras were on the scene just in time to catch the tail-end of a scrum with a spokesperson from Halifax Police.
