Briar Lane – Street Closure

Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Briar Lane in Halifax will be closed to pedestrians and traffic later next week to ensure the public’s safety during ongoing demolition work inside the old CBC Radio building at 5600 Sackville St.

Briar Lane, between Sackville Street and Annandale Street, will shut down starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, and remain closed to all traffic until 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12. The street will not reopen overnight.

Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Services are aware of the closure and are able to access buildings in the area via Annandale Street, if an emergency should arise.

Motorists are encouraged to find alternative routes. The sidewalks along Sackville Street will remain open for pedestrians to detour around the closure. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this work may cause.
