Bridgewater and Yarmouth Tax, Budget Consultations Rescheduled for March

Government has rescheduled the Let’s Talk Taxes public consultations in Yarmouth and Bridgewater that were previously postponed due to weather.

The Yarmouth consultation will now take place Monday, March 2, at the Rodd Grand Hotel, 417 Main St. The Bridgewater session is now scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, at the Bridgewater Junior Senior High School, 100 York St.

, in the school cafeteria.

The Let’s Talk Taxes sessions offer Nova Scotians the opportunity to have their say on tax review and the upcoming provincial budget. Consultations have already taken place in Halifax, Wolfville, Stellarton, Dartmouth and Amherst.

Meetings begin with an open house style information session from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a discussion from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The deadline to submit written suggestions has been extended until March 6.
