Police have charged a man in relation to a break and enter that occurred in Halifax early this morning.

At approximately 3 a.m. officer responded to a report of a break and enter at a home under construction on River Road. Officers arrested the suspect a short distance from the home with stolen building materials.

A 59-year-old-man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face one count each of break and enter, theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
