Building torn down after second suspicious fire

Yarmouth Municipal RCMP is investigating a suspicious fire at an abandoned structure on Argyle Street in Yarmouth.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on April 27, 2021, Yarmouth Municipal RCMP and the Yarmouth Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 38 Argyle Street. The building, which had also experienced a fire the month before, incurred significant damage and was torn down. No one was injured as a result.

The fire is believed to be suspicious in nature and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the fire or observed people in the area between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. near the area of 38 Argyle Street are asked to contact the Yarmouth Municipal RCMP at 902-742-8777.
