Las Vegas has swung open its doors once again, ready for an exciting 2022. And the local venues will be making sure it’s well worth the journey for those flying in from other continents. Luckily for Canadians, however, many of us can touchdown in the Mecca of adult playgrounds without too long of a flight. But what can Canadians look forward to in Vegas this year, and most importantly, what’s new in Sin City?
#1: The Boring Company
The Boring Company is owned by Elon Musk and is rolling out its transport project in Vegas this year. Specifically, it will be transporting people underneath the Vegas Convention Centre using driverless Teslas. These vehicles will accommodate people to sit and stand in a Tesla that will go up to 40 miles per hour. Your usual 15-minute walk will now take just a minute in a futuristic experience. The Boring Company is expected to add more stops to its journey later in 2022, including the strip and downtown Vegas.
#2: Mad Apple
The latest production from Cirque du Soleil is Mad Apple, one of the most anticipated new shoes to hit Vegas. The production is said to be based on New York and the Big Apple’s nightlife, which will include live music performances and routines from stellar comedians. Fans of these types of shows should note, there will be some acrobatic performances in the show, but maybe not as much as you’re used to in other Cirque du Soleil performances.
#3: Vanderpump A Paris
Inside Caesars Palace, there will be the usual casino games and Vegas slots also available online. However, in addition to this, there is an Instagram-worthy cocktail garden called Vanderpump Cocktail Bar. You can easily spot it because there is always a long line outside of people waiting to get in to taste the scrumptious cocktails and experience the beautiful surroundings. The good news is you can now experience this awesome hangout even bigger and better at Vanderpump A Paris. The new location is opening in the Paris Casino and with the Parisian flair to match. Expect grand statues, elegance at every corner, beautiful awnings and all the trimmings.
#4: Electric Pickle
Have you ever played Pickleball? Us neither – but it is supposed to be the most awesome new game, combining elements of badminton, tennis and ping pong. You’ll be able to give Pickleball a go at a cool new bar opening called The Bend in Southwest Valley. This bar will host a number of courts where drinkers and diners can experience Pickleball for memorable laughs with friends. There will also be retail outlets on-site for a spot of shopping. Hopefully, The Bend cuts the red ribbon in 2022, but there is a chance it may not open until 2023. Let’s hope it’s open soon!
