Candidates for District 11 to hold town hall style meeting

There will be a candidates town hall style meeting on October 14 for candidates of district 11. Here’s a link to my earlier post listing the candidates and their contact information (as taken from the Halifax.ca official list).

Post below is from the Our HRM Alliance site:

—-The Candidates Debate held September 14th prompted many residents of Districts 9 and 11 to ask for more. The Spryfield Residents Association has taken on the challenge and booked the Community Meeting Room at the Captain William Spry Centre for two evenings: Sunday September 30 has been reserved for District 9 and Sunday October 14 is reserved for District 11.

For District 11, the format is a simple town hall style event. There will be a moderator. A microphone will be placed on the floor for residents to line up and ask their questions. Questions will be restricted to a one minute time limit. Answers will have a four minute limit. All candidates will be allowed the opportunity to respond to every question, if they so desire.

The meetings will begin at 7:00 PM., each candidate will have a three minute introduction time. The question and answer session will end at 8:30 PM. Candidates and residents may stay afterwards until 9 pm.
