Car crashes into local cemetery, New Germany, N.S.

Last evening, RCMP attended a single-vehicle collision that resulted in significant property damage.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on August 18th, 2014, Lunenburg County RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 10 in New Germany.

A vehicle being driven southbound went off the road entering St. John’s Anglican Church cemetery causing substantial damage to the cemetery grounds as well as 17 headstones. The four occupants in the vehicle were not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
