Careless Handling Of A Firearm Gets 20-Year Old Shot

A Herring Cove man was sent to hospital with non life-threatening injuries after shooting himself last night.

From Halifax Police:

 

“At 2016 hrs. Regional Police responded to the 400 block of Herring Cove Road as a male in his twenties called indicating  he was shot in the leg. The male was taken to QEII hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound which is not life threatening. It is believed at this time that the male was using a firearm in a careless manner and the weapon discharged into his leg. The matter is presently under investigation by our General investigation Section. The weapon has not been recovered at the time of this report.”
