Cash and smokes stolen from Needs store

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred this morning in Dartmouth.

At 12:44 a.m. hours on Saturday January 27th, officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Needs Convenience Store located at 100 Highfield Park Drive, in Dartmouth.  A man and a woman entered the store and the woman produced a handgun while the male went behind the counter and removed cigarettes and money. Both suspects fled from the store on foot last seen running toward the bus terminal. The employee was not injured.

The male suspect is described as being a white man, approximately 6 foot in height, medium build. He was wearing a black sweater, a black puffy vest, brown Nike shoes, and carrying a black back pack with Canada written across the front. The female suspect is described as being a white woman, approximately 5’2” in height, medium build, wearing a black hoody with a green coloured logo on the front, black pants, black shoes, and wearing large black sunglasses.
