Century-old cross stolen from church  – Digby

Update: Stolen century-old cross returned to church

The brass cross reported​ stolen from Trinity Anglican Church in Digby yesterday​ was returned to the church early last evening. A woman brought the undamaged cross to the church and gave it to an employee.

 At 10:13 a.m. today, Digby RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter at Trinity Anglican Church in Digby. The RCMP learned that someone broke into the church and stole a cross from the altar. The cross is over​ 100 years old, is made of​ brass and has​ a jewel in the centre.

The break-in occurred sometime between noon on December 23 and 10 a.m. on December 24.
