Century-old cross stolen from church – Digby
Update: Stolen century-old cross returned to church
The brass cross reported stolen from Trinity Anglican Church in Digby yesterday was returned to the church early last evening. A woman brought the undamaged cross to the church and gave it to an employee.
The investigation is ongoing and Digby RCMP is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 902-245-2579. At 10:13 a.m. today, Digby RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter at Trinity Anglican Church in Digby. The RCMP learned that someone broke into the church and stole a cross from the altar. The cross is over 100 years old, is made of brass and has a jewel in the centre.
The break-in occurred sometime between noon on December 23 and 10 a.m. on December 24. Digby RCMP are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 902-245-2579.
