We had a little change of plans yesterday.  No work on the house.  Instead we went for Brunch/Costco trip with Holly & Dean.

At Cora’s there was a bit of a wait (as usual it seems) but we got seated and shared the paper over coffee.    I didn’t even have to look at the menu….

Asparagus & Swiss Cheese Eggs Benny please! I get mine topped with sliced tomato too.

And, after 2 weeks without meat I gave in and ordered ham.

I have been craving meat so bad and the veggie challenge wasn’t supposed to be about depriving myself, it was about exploring healthy options.  I thinks two weeks was great for me and am not beating myself up over anything.

After brunch we headed over to Costco…. here’s my loot.  A case of Vanilla Almond Breeze, veggie sticks, glass containers – which I’ve been wanting to get forever.  No more plastic containers for this household.  Along with a pack of tanks and a pink Nike tech shirt for the Half!!!

Yup, I found the pink tank that I’ve been looking for. Yay!  This baby is getting all decorated with my blog addy – FYI, www.healthylynn.com will bring you to the blog.

We took a little detour to Chapters and then sat around at Starbucks.  I got an iced Americano.  I love Saturdays, they are always so fun and relaxing!

Later in the afternoon Holly and I decided to go run intervals at the local trail.  We were out for an hour and worked up a good sweat.  The weather was a bit odd, sun one minute, ice pellets the next.

While we were out, the guys got Supper going. Okay, I think hubby just supervised and Dean did all the actual cooking! 😉  Got in and poured myself a small glass of vino.  Jost Prima Rosa.  Mmm delish!

First course was a summer salad – baby spinach, grapefruit, strawberries & grapes.  With a vinaigrette dressing.  Loved the grapes, never thought to try that combo before.

Main meal was fancy beef, potatoes & asparagus.

My BBQ’d steak was pink and absolutely fantastic!  He marinated the meat in a garlic, grapefruit rind & evoo. (And maybe something else!)  Mouth watering and lovely with the Jost.

Baked potato with a bit of gravy.  Everything was wonderful, I cleaned my plate.

My waistline was definitely glad there was no dessert. :)  What a day full of yummy foods.   I’m glad that we were able to sneak in some exercise too.
