Police have charged a man in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in Halifax.
On June 18, 2020 police received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred that evening in the area of a bus shelter on Titus Street between Evans Avenue and Main Avenue in Halifax. A man sexually assaulted a woman not known to him.
On June 19, 2020 police asked for the public’s assistance in providing information and identifying the suspect. Investigators with the Sexual Assault Investigation Team of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division were able to identify the suspect and arrested him in May of 2022.
Ram Gurung, 25, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face one count of sexual assault.
