Charges after man stabbed in Spryfield

Halifax Police release:

Halifax Regional Police have laid charges in an assault that occurred in Halifax on August 21st.

At approximately 6:20 a.m. officers responded to a report of an injured person at a residence on Hilden Drive. Officers located a man who had been stabbed. The man was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, who was known to the man, was arrested at the scene.

Brittany Ruth Ann Ward, 30, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Aggravated assault
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
  • Fail to comply with conditions of a release order (x4)
