Yarmouth Town RCMP has charged three people with drugs and firearms offences after a search warrant was executed in Tusket.
On March 28, Yarmouth Town RCMP, with the assistance of Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, Southwest Nova Traffic Services and Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia executed a search warrant on Lake Vaughan Rd.
At the home, police safely arrested three men then located and seized two semi-automatic handguns, ammunition, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, Canadian currency and cellular phones. A vehicle was also seized as part of the investigation.
Junniko Beals, 27, Triston Grant, 32 and Shemar Leroy Willis, 24 have all been charged with:
- Production of Substance;
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;
- Possession for Purpose of Trafficking;
- Unauthorized possession of firearm;
- Unsafe Storage of Firearm;
- Possession of Prohibited Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized;
- Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition.
Additionally, Junniko Beals has been charged with Possession Contrary to Order.
All three accused were remanded and appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court on April 2. Beals was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on April 8. Grant and Willis were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear Yarmouth Provincial Court on May 6.
The investigation is ongoing.
