Halifax Regional Police has charged a man in connection with a breach of a prohibition order in relation to children that occurred yesterday in Halifax.
At approximately 12 p.m. on August 17, police received a report of a man verbally harassing a youth at the Captain William Spry Community Centre in Halifax. Through the course of their investigation, police officers determined that the man was in breach of his prohibition order, which included conditions for him not to contact a person who is under the age of 16-years-old and not be present at a community centre.
The man was arrested at the scene without incident.
Gadi Habumugisha, 36, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face two counts of breach of a prohibition order.
