From HRPD:
Two men face charges in connection with the stabbing which occurred at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility (CNSCF) earlier this month.
At 10:08 p.m. on June 15 police were called to the CNSCF in relation to a disturbance inside the facility. Just prior to the disturbance there was a confrontation between three inmates in which one of the men, age 21, was stabbed. He was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. As a result of the investigation by the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section, two people have been charged with that incident. The investigation into the disturbance is still on-going.
A 21-year-old Halifax man and 30-year-old Dartmouth man face charges of aggravated assault. Both are currently in custody and are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on July 27.
