Charges Laid in Thefts from Vehicles in Bayers Lake

Two people face charges in relation to thefts from vehicles. On December 3 at 5:07 p.m., officers assigned to the West Division Quick Response Unit observed a suspicious vehicle in Bayers Lake. The vehicle was followed and stopped a short time later. A man and woman were arrested without incident and officers seized a number of items from the vehicle that were determined to be stolen.

On December 3 at 5:07 p.m., officers assigned to the West Division Quick Response Unit observed a suspicious vehicle in Bayers Lake. The vehicle was followed and stopped a short time later. A man and woman were arrested without incident and officers seized a number of items from the vehicle that were determined to be stolen.

Thirty-eight-year-old Timothy Richard Gogan of Fletchers Lake and 28-year-old Cora Dawn Richard of Halifax were remanded for the weekend and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today. They both face charges of theft, possession of stolen property, possession of break-in tools and property damage.

Historically, the holiday season provides opportunities for thieves as they target people who make high-end purchases. People make other stops, such as going somewhere to eat, and leave their new purchases in their vehicles and return only to find the item
