Charges Laid in Two Separate Drug Searches

Three people face charges in relation to two separate drug searches that were conducted in Halifax on Friday.
At 5:10 p.m. on June 21, officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 0-100 block of Titus Street. Officers seized a quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.  A 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 31 to face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
 
At 8:15 p.m., investigators executed another search warrant at an apartment in the 2500 block of Gottingen Street. They seized quantities of crack cocaine, oxycodone, morphine and hydromorphone as well as cash. Two women were arrested at the scene. A 20-year-old Halifax woman faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking, and a 27-year-old faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance. They are both scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
