Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have laid charges in relation to a stabbing that occurred yesterday in Dartmouth.
Yesterday at approximately 3:50 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing in the area of Farrell Street and Windmill Road. A 64-year-old man was stabbed by a man known to him. The victim was transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries and released later that day. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
Investigators have charged 53-year-old Raymond Beals of Dartmouth with one count each of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of uttering threats. He was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning.
