Monday, July 18, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that the in-bound curb lane of Chebucto Road (heading up from the Armdale Rotary) will be closed during daytime hours for the rest of the week from the traffic circle to Mumford Road.
That lane of Chebucto Road will close tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 10 a.m., while the closure each remaining day will begin at 9:30 a.m. The lane will re-open every day at 4 p.m., in time for the evening rush-hour.
This lane closure will affect the role of the middle reversing lane, which normally switches mid-day to accommodate the heavier flow of traffic. While work is underway, the reversing lane will act as the single lane for traffic heading up from the traffic circle.
Motorists should expect delays in the area and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. Pedestrians will not be affected.
The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
