Video: Dartmouth Poutinerie has Grand Opening

Owner and Chef Bill Pratt was glowing with Pride as he described to me the menu for his new restaurant Cheese Curds. [http://cheesecurdsburgers.com/] The Gourmet Burger and Poutinerie features locally farmed beef, lamb as well as seafood and vegan items made from locally grown and sold fresh ingredients. In spite of the dreary fog outside, the Grand Opening was a ‘Triple Belly Buster’ of a success with hungry patrons waiting patiently as they lined up out the door and down the pedway. Local Chef Michael Smith was there to take part in the excitement as Chef Bill did the official ribbon cutting and speech. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was warm with a touch of Uptown class, and the smells coming from the kitchen I can only imagine to be akin to an authentic hole-in-the-wall New Orleans BBQ joint, off the beaten path. Lamenting the fact that I couldn’t stay and wait in line, my Belly Buster experience will have to sit tight til suppertime. Looks like Dartmouth cuisine is heading Uptown and this Dartmouth girl is gonna be loosening her belt on more than one occasion, abso-friggin’-lutely!   Lee Cripps
