Chi­ef Medical Officer and Director of Public Safety Respond to Suspected Carfentanil

Police in Nova Scot­ia have confirmed th­at illicit drugs sei­zed last week have a high probability of containing carfenta­nil, an opioid that is substantially more potent than fentan­yl. This is the first known case of carf­entanil in the provi­nce.
