Families in Clayton Park West will soon have improved access to child care, as 40 new spaces are being added at Silver Crescent, helping to address the high demand for early learning opportunities in the community.
Silver Crescent has received funding to expand its services, ensuring that more families can access high-quality, affordable child care. This investment is part of the Canada–Nova Scotia Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement and is expected to significantly reduce wait times for families seeking child care.
“Investing in early childhood education is essential for supporting working families and strengthening our communities,” said Clayton Park West PC MLA Adegoke Fadare. “By adding more spaces, we are making a real difference for families who are looking for quality child care options. This expansion will help ease the burden on parents and ensure children have access to early learning programs that set them up for success.”
Silver Crescent is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. The expansion is part of a broader effort by the Houston Government, which announced a total of 286 new child care spaces across HRM today.
With this investment, families in Clayton Park West can expect to see a decrease in child care waitlists, making it easier for parents to find accessible, reliable, and high-quality child care options close to home.
