December 9, 2012, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . At approximately 1:15 p.m. earlier today Cole Harbour RCMP responded to a call of a 4-year-old child being bitten by a pit bull inside a residence on Arklow Drive.
The child was taken to hospital by Emergency Health Services with non-life threatening injuries. The child was a visitor to the residence at the time of the incident.
The pit bull remains in the custody of the owner at the home where the bite occurred. A followup investigation will be done by HRM By-Law Animal Services.
