Classes and workshops open for registration now

  • Arbonne Make-up Workshops are now available at Sharkey's Cuts for Kids in Bedford! Join Loly Crowley, an Arbonne Independent Consultant, for Smokey Eye "Smokin Hot" on October 14, 10:30-11:30am. Get all of your questions answered, create a beautiful look with customized colour that nourishes & protects your skin! $10 per person.   • Sharkey's Cuts for Kids and Andrea’s Music Studio are offering three music programs for kids. You can register for these programs ahead of time, or just drop in on the day. The Music Makers program is for kids ages 8 months to 5 years, and is on Wednesday mornings from 10-10:30am. $7 per child per class. Guitar (for ages 7-16) and piano for ages 5-14) classes are also available: learn to play a song within 3 lessons! Instruments will be provided for the lesson. Guitar is on Wednesday evenings and piano is on Thursday evenings. $12.50 per child per class. Contact Sharkey's Cuts for Kids at 406-7074 for registration or if you have any further questions.
  • Infant massage classes are back again at Sharkey's with Betsy Webb from BE Massage Therapy. The class consists of four one-hour sessions designed to teach parents to massage their babies while paying attention to baby’s cues. They take place Friday mornings from 11am to noon, on October 16, 23, 30 and November 6. Cost is $90 including tax.   • Nurtured runs free monthly babywearing and cloth diapering workshops where you can learn all the in's and out's of these two sometimes complicated subjects. The next babywearing workshop will be on Thursday, October 15; the next cloth diaper workshop is on Thursday November 12. Pre-registration required and there is limited space.   • Also at Nurtured, join Karen Reed from Passionate About Birth for a free informative talk about Birth Options. Karen draws upon her experience as a mother, a nurse, a certified birth doula, a Lamaze birth educator and as well as from her present study as a Birthing From Within mentor, to support women and couples to be well informed about their birth options. If we don't know our options we don't have any and can't be active participants in our births. Saturday, October 17, 10am. Pre-registration required. Book via Nurtured's website.
