Four people face charges after a drug search earlier this morning in Halifax.
At 5 a.m. the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit, assisted by officers with the Integrated General Investigation Section (GIS) and the Emergency Response Team (ERT), conducted a search of a residence in the 200 block of Farnham Gate Road in Halifax. The search resulted in a quantity of marijuana, prescription drugs and other drug paraphernalia being seized. Two loaded hand guns were also located and seized and four people were arrested at the scene without incident.
Three people from Halifax, a 43-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old male, as well as a 48-year-old man are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today. All four face drug trafficking and a number of weapons related charges.
