Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that a portion of Clyde Street will be closed beginning on Friday, Sept. 25 at 7 a.m.
The section of Clyde Street affected by the closure will be between Birmingham Street and Dresden Row. This work is necessary so crews working on behalf of Dalhousie University can continue installing water pipes in the area.
The street is expected to reopen on Friday, Oct. 9 by 9 p.m. at the latest. Crews will accommodate access for local traffic and pedestrian access will also be maintained throughout the closure.
The other sections of Clyde Street currently closed are expected to reopen by this Friday night. However, if at least one of those sections cannot open by Friday night then the closure between Dresden Row and Birmingham Street will be delayed.
The municipality and the university regret any inconvenience this work may cause.
