Police have interrupted a cocaine trafficking operation in Colchester County.
On August 28 at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of Colchester District RCMP, Colchester General Investigation Section (GIS), and Local Intelligence Officers of Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia (CISNS) searched a home on College Road in Valley.
Several people found in the residence were arrested. Police then searched the home, and located 675 grams of cocaine, a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, and an extendable baton.
The home that was searched by police was close to three schools, parks, and playgrounds, making the disruption of this illegal drug activity a high priority for investigators.
Police will be laying several charges in relation to this matter:
All four individuals were released from custody on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on dates in October and November.
The investigation is ongoing.
